Partnerships, not charity
We don't believe in tourism that observes from afar. We believe in authentic and lasting relationships with local communities.
The families you meet on our tours are not simply "attractions". They are our partners. They pass on their skills to you: basket boat making, mat weaving, traditional farming techniques. In return, they receive fair compensation for their time and expertise.
Mrs. Phuong's story
Take Mrs. Phuong, for example. We met her years ago through her husband, a craftsman who makes basket boats. Very shy at first, she hesitated to interact with visitors.
Today, Mrs. Phuong is an integral part of many tours. She has become your coach for learning to maneuver these traditional boats on the river. Her smile, her patience and her pride in passing on her know-how brighten every encounter.
This is not charity. It's a fair exchange: you learn from her, she earns her living with dignity, and you both leave enriched.
Our concrete commitment
Every year since 2009, we reinvest part of our income directly into the communities we visit.
Support for education
We support several rural schools by providing or financially contributing to:
- School uniforms for children of partner families
- School supplies (notebooks, pens, books)
- Equipment for schools (blackboards, chairs, teaching materials)
Education is the key for these rural communities to build their future without depending solely on tourism.
Support for villages
We also contribute to the funding of community events and collective projects in the villages we pass through. These initiatives strengthen the social fabric and improve local living conditions.
Support for partner families
The families who welcome you receive direct and fair compensation. We also support them in difficult times, because over the years, these professional relationships have become true friendships.
Why does it matter?
The villages we visit are far from the classic tourist circuits. Without our presence, these families would have no tourism-related income.
